Carol singing for Community Boats

Loughborough male voice choirIn addition to the many Christmas boat trips organised (details in our last blog) at least two of our member organisations are holding carol services.

The Loughborough male voice choir will be singing carols for the Peter Le Marchant Trust at Carillon Court in the centre of Loughborough on December 15th 11am – 12noon.

The Trust provides day outings and holidays on waterways for people of all ages with any kind of disability or serious illness.

If you’re local they’d love to see you at their event.

The Rickmansworth Waterways Trust brings together people who are enthusiastic about canals, education and the environment – and about Rickmansworth. Their aim is to give young and old from all walks of life the chance to learn about history and heritage through their education work on the Grand Union Canal and ongoing restoration of former working canal boat “Roger”.

They are holding a carol service on 8th December at 4pm at Batchworth Lock.

Wherever you are, do support your local community boating project this Christmas and visit the NCBA website for information about training to get involved in community boating.

Sign up to our blog on the home page to get free updates of community boating news. (We don’t share or sell email addresses, you will just get news articles from the NCBA).
