Having more than 100 member organisations in the NCBA means that there are always new and innovative fundraising events and ideas being developed, all over the country, supporting community boating.

On Friday 8th March Peter Le Marchant Trust presents “The Kiftsgate Year”: An inspirational talk by Anne Chambers of Kiftsgate Court Gardens, home of the Kiftsgate Rose.

The Peter Le Marchant Trust is a charity which has been running for 35years. The Trust supports the disabled and seriously ill of all ages, through canal boat trips and holidays on our three specially built disabled accessible boats. They take groups from many organizations such as Rainbows hospice, Ashlea special school, Multiple sclerosis society, Cancer support groups as well as residential care homes. They also offer families living with disability the chance to take a break together on a canal boat holiday.

The £20 tickets include wine & canapés, and there will also be a raffle and plant sale. If you are near Nottingham and fancy supporting community boating, contact lynnsmith (at) for further details. All proceeds taken will support the work of the Trust.
