NCBA – Organisational Development Fund

The NCBA has set aside some funding that we have received. It has been approved at that last AGM that this funding is to be used for both internal and external development.

Internal
This funding will be available for staff, directors and trainers and it will be used for training in line with identified needs to enable the NCBA to carry out its functions and duties more effectively

External
This element of the budget will be used as an opportunity for member projects to apply for funding to enable them to do one or more of the following activities

• Organise regional meetings/marketplace event

An allowance to stimulate and encourage member projects to meet and profile their work. This could be to other boaters at a water festival or to profile their work to statutory organisations such as funders etc.

• Exchange Visit Between Projects

Designed to stimulate and facilitate investigative visits to other projects. An allowance to cover the cost of hosting the visit and contribution towards cost of visiting. The visiting project would be required to outline the purpose of the visit and what they were seeking to gain from it. There would be a further requirement to submit a report following the visit outlining how they achieved their objectives from the visit.

• Mentor Allowance

A register to be complied of member projects that would be prepared to act as a mentor for new members or host to exchange visits. This would profile their area of operation eg youth, environment, disabled etc.

The funding is ring fenced in the general and is time limited or until the funds run out.

If you are interested in applying for funds then please email Diane Taylor and an application form will be sent to you.
