Y-afloat is a national youth forum made up of young people aged up to 25.

Y-afloat offers a unique package of fun and adventure, encouraging you to travel and meet people from across the country.

Y-afloat activities include:

• boat swap residential trips
• boat handling courses
• waterways experience weekends
• canal voyage challenges
• chance to run your own roadshow

You will get the chance to run your own roadshow and create your own boat handling course. You will also be able to choose an access password, allowing you to share thoughts and chat, using the secure online forums in the Y-afloat web area.

To get involved, all you have to do is fill in a ‘get involved’ form. This can be obtained from the NCBA office, by calling 0845 0510649. If you have completed your Complete Crew Certificate (CCC), this form should have been sent to you with your certificate. The form also gives you the opportunity to choose your own password, so you can gain access to the Y-afloat web area. This lets you share thoughts and chat to other young people on line.

Once we receive your completed form, we will send you a free Y-afloat gift. You will receive information of what’s happening and how you can get involved. It is up to you how little or how much you want to take part, no pressure!
